George Burke used the months when he could not work outside to reorganize his basement work areas. He is eager to get back outside and use each day to make The Seguine more beautiful.
In another part of the basement work area, Burke organization efforts created this still life of hanging paint brushes, eager to get to work.
Thanks to Adena Long, Staten Island Parks Commissioner, for reminding me of these great pictures George Burke took in the late 1980s of his beloved horse, Lady Pizzaz, enjoying herself in the snow at The Seguine Equestrian Center. As winter wanes, let's remember its many pleasures for all creatures.
